TOM BRADY HAS never been built for power or praised for his tackle technique.
Yet when the 38-year-old threw an interception in the 27 – 10 win over Washington last night… well, nobody’s perception was changed about his skill-set, but he did somehow manage to prevent the pick turning into six.
Keenan Robinson looked a shoe-in for the touchdown, he was in the slip stream of a blocker and Brady was the last defender.
Brady braced himself for impact and bravely (yet ever so gently) eased himself towards the contact. The lack of conviction in his effort must have put the blocker off, because he only got a hand on Brady and stormed on by, meanwhile, the quarterback’s trailing leg was scuppering Robinson’s run.

You can’t teach that sort of defence. Mostly because you wouldn’t be allowed teach that sort of defence.
