'I might not be the same man coming out of it': Bellew says Usyk fight would have to be his last

Bellew in line to face the undisputed cruiserweight world champ later this year.

TONY BELLEW IS ready to go to war against undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk — but fears that the ‘hard, dangerous fight’ will likely have to be his final one as a professional.

Bellew, 35, is set to drop back down to cruiserweight to face Usyk who currently holds the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBF belts in the 200lbs division.

Eddie Hearn and Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk are currently in talks for a fight in the UK before the end of 2018.

And while Bellew is confident that he can hand the Ukrainian the first defeat of his unbeaten career, he expects to ship a lot of punishment along the way.

“If I fight Oleksandr Usyk, it will be my last ever fight, because I will take some serious stick,” he told Sky Sports.

“If I fight Tyson Fury next, I could have another fight after that because I will beat Tyson Fury and it would be much easier than beating Usyk, without a shadow of a doubt.

“I understand exactly what I am getting into. It’s a very hard, dangerous fight.

“I might not be the same man coming out of it, but I can tell you, I will win.

“I don’t know how, I don’t know when it will happen, but I know I will take him.”
