Jared Payne to make first appearance of the season as Ulster ring changes for Glasgow test

Les Kiss will be looking to make it four wins from four games in Scotland on Friday night.

JARED PAYNE WILL make his first appearance of the season for Ulster on Friday night as the province look to extend their unbeaten Pro12 run to four games away to the Glasgow Warriors.

In total, Les Kiss makes nine personnel and positional switches from the side that defeated the Scarlets 19-8 at Kingspan Stadium last week.

Along with Payne’s return at full-back, the backline also sees Charles Piutau move to the left wing and Louis Ludik on the opposite flank.

Elsewhere,  Stuart McCloskey will be partnered by Darren Cave in the centre while Ruan Pienaar and Paddy Jackson continue as the preferred half-back partnership.

Stuart Olding drops to the bench while Craig Gilroy misses out because of a toe injury.

In the forwards, captain Rob Herring will be joined in the front-row by Andy Warwick and Rodney Ah You while Franco van der Merwe has been included in the second row alongside Alan O’Connor.

After an appearance off the bench last week, Iain Henderson is handed a start at blindside with Sean Reidy and Roger Wilson completing the lineup.

Irish skipper Rory Best, who is still to make an appearance for Ulster this term, is included on a strong bench.
