WORLD CHAMPIONS JAPAN scored a wonderful team goal as they edged past Holland to a 2-1 victory at the Women’s World Cup in Canada last night.
With her side already a goal to the good, Mizuho Sakaguchi made it 2-0 when she finished off a fine team move that featured a back-heel and a clever dummy.
The win ensured Japan of a place in the quarter-finals, where they will meet Australia. The Japanese are the only side in the competition with a 100 per cent record after winning all three group games.
