Zlatan wants to join Man United, but only if LVG leaves this summer - reports

The pair have a strained relationship from their Ajax days.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC HAS reportedly hinted that he would like to join Manchester United this summer, but only if Louis van Gaal leaves the club.

Sky Sports are reporting that the Swedish striker wants to move to Old Trafford when his contract with PSG expires – but he has reservations about working with the Dutch manager again.

The pair have a strained relationship after falling out during Ibrahimovic’s time with Ajax, when van Gaal was the club’s technical director.

Ibrahimovic, who has stated he won’t sign a new contract with PSG, has already revealed he has been the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

It’s believed the 34-year-old would favour a move to Man United but that depends on whether the Dutch boss is still in charge.

Van Gaal has been heavily criticised throughout the season and the levels of discontent grew further at the weekend as his side slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Tottenham.

United are now in serious danger of missing out on Champions League qualification, a failing which could hamper their pursuit of targets in the transfer window.

Ibrahimovic is in Manchester this week for the second-leg of PSG’s Champions League clash with Man City at the Ethiad Stadium.
