KILMARNOCK MIDFIELDER ALAN Power has escaped punishment by the SFA after a high-footed collision with Rangers’ Ryan Jack in the Scottish Cup at the weekend.
Power, 30, received a yellow card after conspicuously catching Jack in the head with his studs raised as the pair challenged for a loose ball.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard indicated that Power might be cited after the game, saying: “Could he have been off? I don’t know who points the citings out, but let’s see what happens.”
However, Power’s challenge was reviewed by SFA compliance officer Clare Whyte who determined that no further action be taken.
The silver lining for Rangers is that the Drimnagh man, Kilmarnock’s player of the year last season, is now free to face Celtic this Sunday.
