HE’S NO JAKOB Kohler but Toulouse goalkeeper Ali Ahamada needed every inch of his six-foot-two frame to snatch an unlikely equaliser against Rennes on Saturday evening.

With Toulouse trailing 2-1 in the fifth minute of stoppage time, 21-year-old Ahamada joined the attack for one last roll of the dice.

When Ben Yedder’s free-kick dropped in behind the Rennes defence, Ahamada was there to flick it past his opposite number Benoit Costil with a brilliant backwards diving header.

“It was a magical moment,” Ahamada told ESPN afterwards. “We all dream of one day scoring. For this little dream to come true, it’s pretty special.”
