THE DRAW for the first round of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship qualifiers has thrown up three intra-provincial clashes – with Westmeath and Louth facing each other again, just six weeks after their first meeting.
The draw, held live on RTÉ Radio 1 this morning, will also see Laois and Carlow face off, while Fermanagh and Cavan will square off in Ulster.
Elsewhere, the resurgent Longford will have a chance to further their championship ambitions against a Derry side which underperformed in Saturday’s heavy defeat to Donegal.
In a rarely-contested local derby, Offaly will head to Tipperary where new boss Peter Creedon will look to further his side’s championship experience.
In the remaining three clashes, Roscommon will host Armagh, Antrim will travel to London, while Waterford head to Wicklow.

Throw-in times and venues will be fixed tomorrow. All eight games are set to be played on Saturday 30 June.
* Teams marked with an asterisk were drawn second, but are guaranteed a home tie after being given an away game in the first round of the 2011 qualifier series. In all other cases, the first-drawn team will have home advantage.
