The UFC version of Darren 'Sicknote' Anderton is injured. Again.

Anthony Pettis just can’t catch a break.

THE MOST INJURED man in the UFC is injured again.

Former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis has withdrawn from his comeback bout against Miles Jury at UFC on Fox 16.

Pettis will be replaced by Edson Barboza on the Chicago card on 25 July.

The 28-year-old has only managed seven fights since joining the UFC almost four years ago.

After winning the UFC title in August 2013 against Benson Henderson, he damaged his cruciate ligaments and spent 16 months out of the Octagon, time which included a stint on The Ultimate Fighter.

He made a successful comeback against Gilbert Melendez at UFC 181 last December before losing the belt in a unanimous decision against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 185 in March.

Now it’s an elbow injury that has derailed his bid to regain the belt, with Pettis scheduled for surgery on Tuesday.

The UFC on Fox 16 card will be headlined by TJ Dillashaw who defends his bantamweight title against Renan Barao.
