Italy manager Antonio Conte to sign deal with Chelsea this week - reports

The former Juve boss has an impressive CV and Chelsea believe he is the right man for the job.

ITALY MANAGER ANTONIO Conte will take the reins at Chelsea this summer with widespread reports suggesting he will sign a deal with the club this week.

The 46-year-old, who has been heavily linked with the job, is in London to finalise negotiations which will see him take charge of the Premier League club ahead of next season.

Conte will manage Italy at Euro 2016 before leaving for Stamford Bridge.

The former Juventus midfielder has an impressive managerial CV after winning three successive Serie A titles with the Old Lady before taking the national team job.

If he does become the next Chelsea manager, Conte will replace interim boss Guus Hiddink who has been in charge since the departure of Jose Mourinho.

Conte has been in charge of the Azzurri for three years but has never managed outside Italy.

Reports say he could put pen to paper on a deal with the Blues as early as Monday.
