ENGLISH LEAGUE TWO side Crawley Town have confirmed the signing of former Bray Wanderers and Shamrock Rovers midfielder Justin Ferizaj on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Irish youth international Ferizaj spent the second half of last season at Bray Wanderers after a spell in the underage setup at then-Serie A club Frosinone.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been a free agent since the end of the 2025 League of Ireland campaign and has spent over a fortnight training with Crawley, who have made him their 13th January signing.

“Justin’s impressive standard has earned him a contract with the Reds”, a Crawley Town statement read.

Capped up as far as U19 level for Ireland, Ferizaj joined Shamrock Rovers as a child and came through the club’s academy, making his League of Ireland debut in 2022.

That year, he attracted interest from abroad with trials at Hamburg and Tottenham Hotspur. Ferizaj also turned down a contract offer from Sampdoria before signing a new deal with Rovers. He scored his first senior goal in March 2023.

In August 2023, Ferizaj moved to Frosinone, initially joining their U19s. He returned to Ireland last July, signing for Bray Wanderers alongside his brother Richard.

Meanwhile, Bohemians have announced the signing of Senan Mullen on a season-long loan from Torino.

The 20-year-old centre-back has been at the Italian Serie A club since February 2024, when he joined from Dundalk. Cavan native Mullen becomes the eighth new arrival at Dalymount Park ahead of the new League of Ireland Men’s Premier Division season.

“Senan is a big strong centre-back and someone we have been keeping an eye on for a long time,” said Bohs manager Alan Reynolds.

“He was with Dundalk before he went to Italy when Stevie (O’Donnell, Bohs assistant) was there and he is rated extremely highly. He is a really exciting young talent who we have with us now for the season, so we really believe he will be a great addition to the group we have.

“He is an imposing defender, he’s good on the ball and he’s quick. He’s coming back to Ireland for the year and really hungry to play and do well. We’re delighted to bring in such a quality young player and we are really looking forward to working with him.”

Mullen sees this as a “great opportunity for me to prove myself at senior level”.

“I liked everything that Rennie and Stephen O’Donnell had to say about the club, the project for this year, the group that is already here and how they see me fitting into it,” said the defender.

“I really enjoyed working with Stevie at Dundalk. This is a great league to play in, there are a lot of eyes on it and I just want to get in now and show people what I can do.

“I could have gone on loan to another club in Europe but with the league here only starting now, the chance to have a full season at a club like Bohs really appealed to me, particularly with the club in Europe this season.

“Every player wants to play in the biggest games they can so I’m really looking forward to getting started and to the season ahead.”
