EVERTON HAVE ANNOUNCED that a special charity match is being organised to honour young Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery.
The six-year-old won the hearts of the football world as he battled a rare type of cancer called neuroblastoma, but tragically passed away earlier this month.
As a mascot with his beloved Sunderland, Bradley visited the Toffee’s Goodison Park back in February, and left a lasting impression on the players, owners, staff and fans.

On 3 September, Premier League outfit Everton will host a game involving two teams made up of celebrities to raise funds for the Bradley Lowery Foundation — a charity set up by Bradley’s parents to help other children with serious illnesses.
“I appreciate Sellebrity Soccer putting in the hard work to get the football match arranged to raise funds for the Bradley Lowery Foundation,” said Bradley’s mother Gemma. “As always, Everton has been amazing in letting it happen at Goodison Park. The support is fantastic.”

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright added: “There’s little that I could ever add to the tributes to Bradley, that have already been fulsome throughout the world of football – and onwards.
I didn’t know him for long. But from the second he walked out onto the pitch with his beloved Sunderland Football Club against us, I felt an overwhelming “Blue” need to support him. [majority shareholder] Farhad [Moshiri] and my Everton colleagues immediately supported that need.
“Everyone at Everton feels honoured to support this match to celebrate the short life of one of football’s all-time greats – There’s Only One Bradley Lowery.”
