THE POLICE HORSE which was attacked by a football supporter in England yesterday is fine and well this morning.
Twenty-nine fans were arrested in the violent scenes which followed yesterday’s Tyne-Wear derby between Sunderland and Newcastle in the Premier League.
TV footage showed one fan, wearing a Newcastle jersey and with a scarf covering his face, punching a police horse in the neck before he was tackled to the ground.
Following enquiries, West Yorkshire Police tweeted a picture of Bud the horse in his paddock this morning and thanked the public for their concern.
