REPUBLIC OF IRELAND international Ryan Manning scored a superb goal for Southampton in their 2-1 defeat to Norwich, while former U21 striker Aidomo Emakhu was on target in Millwall’s 3-1 loss to Hull City.
Jovon Makama scored a second-half brace as Norwich boosted their bid to pull out of the Championship relegation zone with victory at Carrow Road.
Leading the line in the absence of Josh Sargent, who was missing due to concussion protocols, Makama struck in the 48th and 61st minutes to sink a Saints side who had won five out of six going into the lunchtime kick-off.

Manning had swiftly equalised for the visitors with a fine long-range effort but summer signing Makama had the final say with his sixth goal of an impressive campaign.
Meanwhile, Kyle Joseph scored twice in the early stages as Hull kept themselves sixth in the Sky Bet Championship with a 3-1 victory over 10-man Millwall at the Den.
This was the Tigers’ second straight win and this was an encounter they largely controlled as they went back above Stoke after their victory earlier on Saturday.
It was a frustrating afternoon for the promotion-chasing Lions, however, as they lost for the first time in five games to drop to fourth, while they also lost top scorer Femi Azeez to a straight red card in the second half.
Emakhu’s first goal of the season made it 2-1 shortly after in the 79th minute: the Dubliner was put in behind and he kept his composure by finishing into the far corner, but Oli McBurnie sealed the victory for Hull two minutes from time.
Jack Moylan, Oliver O’Neill and Joel Bagan were among the goals in League One. Former Shelbourne star Moylan scored twice and added an assist in Lincoln City’s 2-2 draw away to Barnsley.
In League Two, Aaron Drinan scored and was sent off in Swindon Town’s 3-0 win against Bristol Rovers. Ryan Graydon was also on target as Fleetwood Town beat Newport County 2-0.
