There won't be a cow milked in Chicago and Scooby Doo - It's your comments of the week

Did you make the cut this week?

ANOTHER JAM PACKED week of sport – from Ireland’s historic win over the All Blacks to Jackie Tyrrell’s retirement. Here’s what you had to say.

We had a lot of brilliant comments after the monumental win in Chicago, so it was hard to single out a few of the best.

Joe Kennedy summed it all up.

One of those incredible sporting occasions that lifts the whole country and gives everyone a spring in their step. Brilliant performance by all. Roll on two weeks time!

Nollaig Elliot spoke the truth, in true Irish fashion.

There won’t be a cow milked in Chicago tonight!!

Robert Burke didn’t feel the need for player ratings. Never mind 8 or 9s, every last one of them should have gotten a 10!

Just give them all a 10. Unbelievable performance

And Michael Coyle said what everyone was thinking. Who would have thought they’d see the day?

I did it! I lived to see the day we beat the All Blacks!

Kilkenny legend Jackie Tyrrell announced his retirement from inter-county hurling on Friday. The 34-year-old ends his Cats’ career with nine All-Ireland titles, having captained his side to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup in 2006.

Sean Minogue paid tribute to Tyrrell, wishing him well.

Legend of the game. Good luck in retirement and the rest of your club years

Across the water, week 10 of the NFL season is upon us. Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks. Camroc referred back to this weeks shock US election.

If Hilary had Belichik on her side, she’d have won easy!

Wexford Youths signed inter-county hurler Lee Chin in September on a short-term deal, in the hope that they’d avoid relegation. Chin scored in the first leg of their play-off, but “signed out” for the second leg to attend the GAA All-Stars. Drogheda went on to win, as Youths were relegated.

Patrick Kennedy had a go as we ranked the 13 best players in the League of Ireland this season.

No Lee Chin?

Joey Carbery celebrates winning Source: Dan Sheridan/INPHO

Joey Carbery made his international debut in Soldier Field last weekend. He was called to play with 21 minutes remaining and the former Clontarf player did exactly what was asked of him.

Gavin Healy predicts big things for the 21-year-old.

AIL to finishing a victorious game over the All Blacks within a few months. At this rate of progress he’ll be captaining the Lions next year!

Conor McGregor makes his first appearance at lightweight against undisputed champion Eddie Alvarez in New York tonight. The press conference descended to chaos on Thursday evening as the two fighters had to be kept apart.

Jon Gripper McKee gave us a right laugh at the theatrics of it all.

He’s like Scrappy out of Scooby Doo, “let me at him, let me at him.”

Meanwhile, JJ O Riordan couldn’t ignore the coat and made an uncanny comparisson.

Prancing around in a mink coat. He’s like Liberace with a Dublin accent.
