Welcome to the Gaelic Grounds as we build up to this afternoon’s Munster senior hurling semi-final between Cork and Clare. Throw in is at 4pm.

Breaking team news here as there are two Clare changes from the side that defeated Waterford with Nicky O’Connell coming in at midfield instead of Seadna Morey while Padraic Collins replaces Shane O’Donnell at corner-forward.

Here’s the Cork team that’s named to start today.

The crowd is starting to build up here at the Gaelic Grounds. Neither side has yet to emerge onto the pitch for their pre-match warm-up.

Both sides have come out on to the pitch under the grey skies in the Gaelic Grounds and were greeted warmly by the respective sets of supporters. It’s been raining at times this morning in Limerick but at the moment it’s dry.

The referee for today’s game is Barry Kelly from Westmeath.

Here’s the Clare subs for today’s game.

Here’s the Cork substitutes for the game.

Clare have had the upper hand against Cork three times year when the sides have met in senior hurling clashes – the Waterford Crystal Cup semi-final, Division 1A of the Allianz hurling league and the Division 1 hurling league relegation final. Can Jimmy Barry-Murphy’s side reverse the trend in their first championship outing in 2013?

Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy.

Clare will be hoping to build on their Munster quarter-final win over Waterford in Semple Stadium in Thurles. Davy Fitzgerald is hoping to guide his team into the county’s first provincial senior decider since 2008.

Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald.

The pre-match parade is underway and we’re closing in on throw-in.

The national anthem is just about to be sung here and the sun is shining. Limerick await the winners in the Munster final on July 14th.

In the Cork team, Brian Murphy is gone to centre-back with Stephen McDonnell at full-back,

Tom Kenny is gone to halfback while Chris Joyce is at midfield. Plenty positional changes on the Cork side.

Early Cork wide from a Cian McCarthy free.

Cork 0-1 Clare 0-1: 5 mins – Patrick Horgan and Padraic Collins swap points. Neat efforts from play from both players.

Davy Fitzgerald not happy with referee Barry Kelly there for a perceived foul on attacker Darach Honan.

Huge intensity on show from both sides early on.

Goal chance for Clare as Honan releases Padraic Collins but he is felled close to goal by Conor O’Sullivan, just outside the large square, and is shown a yellow card for the offence.

Terrific save by Anthony Nash from a 20-yard piledriver from the free by Clare’s Tony Kelly.

Clare 0-2 Cork 0-1: 8 mins – Colin Ryan points the ’65 for Clare.

Padraic Collins breaks clear for Clare but blasts the ball wide with a goal on.

Clare 0-3 Cork 0-1: 9 mins – Nice point by Clare’s Colm Galvin as the midfielder fields a Cork puck out and splits the posts.

Clare 0-4 Cork 0-1: 9 mins – Clare are really starting to motor now as Darach Honan strikes a point. Cork’s defence looks shaky early on.

Clare 0-4 Cork 0-2: 10 mins – A reprieve for Cork thanks to a sublime point from the right wing by Daniel Kearney.

Clare 0-5 Cork 0-2: 10 mins – Clare are back three points in front as Honan smashes a fierce right-handed shot just over the bar.

Clare 0-5 Cork 0-3: 11 mins – At the other end Cork’s full-forward Luke O’Farrell showcases his threat with a fine point from a tight angle.

The wind is extremely strong here in the Gaelic Grounds as evidenced by the fact the Clare goalkeeper Patrick Kelly just hit the ball wide from his own puck out.

Clare 0-5 Cork 0-4: 14 mins – Seamus Harnedy blasts over a point for Cork.

But that was a great goal chance for Cork as they had a three on one overlap with Luke O’Farrell and Stephen Moylan both free for a pass from Harnedy.

Clare 0-6 Cork 0-4: 16 mins – Conor McGrath profits from a loose pass by Cork’s Christopher Joyce to strike over a point for Clare.

Clare 0-7 Cork 0-6: 21 mins – A flurry of scores there as Cork’s Patrick Horgan strikes a brace of points and Conor McGrath hits a point for Clare.

A setback for Clare with the loss of John Conlon as he is replaced by Aaron Cunningham. Conlon took a heavy knock in the early stages of the game.

Clare 0-8 Cork 0-6: 22 mins – Padraic Collins edges Clare two in front with a great individual point. He worked very hard to get through the Cork defence and score under pressure.

Clare 0-9 Cork 0-6: 25 mins – Collins is on target again, this time from the right wing as he seized a hand pass by Cork’s Tom Kenny.

Clare probably should be further ahead given they had the wind at their backs. Some of their shooting has been errant while they have not managed to capitalize on the goal chances that have come their way.

Clare 0-10 Cork 0-6: 28 mins – Magnificent point for Clare by Colm Galvin as he displayed tremendous acceleration to get clear of the Cork defence and finished with assurance.

Clare 0-10 Cork 0-7: 31 mins – Conor Lehane hits back with a point for Cork as his shot just crept inside the upright.

That Cork point came after great work by Jamie Coughlan to win the ball after he had just come on for Stephen Moylan at corner-forward for the Rebels.

Clare 0-11 Cork 0-7: 32 mins – Colin Ryan taps over a free for Clare to restore their four-point advantage.

Cork’s William Egan has also been booked.

Cork 0-11 Clare 0-8: 33 mins – Great long range point for Cork by Patrick Horgan from a free against the wind.

Half-Time: Clare 0-11 Cork 0-8: It’s the Banner in front by three points at the break.

19,049 the attendance at the Gaelic Grounds.

Cork are back out for the second-half here.

Clare are out as well. We’re getting set for action again.

Clare 0-11 Cork 0-9: 38 mins – First blood to Cork with a quality point from Jamie Coughlan.

Clare 0-11 Cork 0-10: 40 mins – Now the gap is down to one after Patrick Horgan converts a free for Cork after he was fouled himself.

Clare 0-11 Cork 0-11: 42 mins – Now it’s all square as William Egan points for Cork from halfway.

Goal chance for Clare but Conor McGrath fires wide. Moments earlier Clare had seen Darach Honan’s powerful shot blocked by Anthony Nash in the Cork goal.

Fergal Lynch is on the Clare team for Colin Ryan.

Cork 0-12 Clare 0-11: 46 mins – Cork go in front with their fourth point in succession and it was a well-taken score by debutant Seamus Harnedy after he collected a sideline by Tom Kenny.

Cork 0-13 Clare 0-11: 47 mins – Cork go two ahead courtesy of a Patrick Horgan pointed free after Conor Lehane was fouled.

Cork 0-14 Clare 0-11: 49 mins – Cork have taken over in this game with Jamie Coughlan lofting over a beautiful point under pressure from the wing. Great work by Luke O’Farrell to win that ball as he blocked down an attempted clearance by Clare’s Patrick Donnellan.

Cork 0-15 Clare 0-11: 50 mins – Cian McCarthy fires over another point for Cork. Clare have yet to score in the second-half.

Cork 0-16 Clare 0-11: 51 mins – Patrick Horgan points for Cork from a free.

Ten minutes left here in the Gaelic Grounds. Shane O’Donnell is on for Clare as he replaces Conor McGrath.

Cork substitution as captain Patrick Cronin comes on for Cian McCarthy.

Cork 0-20 Clare 0-14: 63 mins – Harnedy fires over his third point of the game for Cork before Tony Kelly replies with his first point of the game for Clare.

Cork 0-21 Clare 0-14: 65 mins – But Cork’s seven-point lead is restored as substitute Patrick Cronin splits the posts.

Cork 0-22 Clare 0-14: 64 mins – Anthony Nash gets in on the scoring act for Cork as he smashes over a long-range free and then gets down well at the other end to block a goal bound drive from Clare’s Seadna Morey.

Cork 0-22 Clare 0-15: 66 mins – Substitute Shane O’Donnell on the mark for Clare with a  point.

Cork 0-23 Clare 0-15: 69 mins – That should be that for Cork as Patrick Horgan points to send them eight points clear.

One minute of injury time to be played.

FULL-TIME: Cork 0-23 Clare 0-15: It’s all over and Cork have triumphed.

Cork run out comfortable winners on the back of a convincing second-half display. They go forward to meet Limerick in the decider on July 14th.
