DONEGAL WILL SPEND five nights this week at the Lough Erne Golf Resort as they fine tune their preparations for the All-Ireland football final on Sunday week.
A fortnight ago, Jim McGuinness’s squad embarked on a lengthy training camp in the Johnstown House, Enfield before they expertly picked apart red hot favourites Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final.
A large party of players, doctors, physios and coaching staff will travel, and the trip is estimated to cost in the region of €20,000, according to Declan Bogue in today’s Irish Independent.
The high-end Fermanagh venue, that hosted the G8 summit last year, isn’t accompanied by any GAA pitches but it is anticipated Donegal will train in some club facilities nearby.
It’s understood Donegal have some significant underwriters supporting their bid to win a second All-Ireland in three years.
In April, Donegal enjoyed a week-long training camp in the Algarve prior to their Division 2 league final against Monaghan.
