DARRAGH DOHERTY’S LIFE will be commemorated on Sunday when Dublin play Mayo in the All-Ireland Football semi-final at Croke Park.

The Mayo minor GAA star was named as the 19-year-old who died after his car hit a wall near Ballinrobe at around 10.30pm last Sunday night.

And a tribute is being planned for Doherty, who was part of the Mayo 2013 All-Ireland minor-winning team and scored 1-2 in the final against Tyrone.

Both sets of supporters will come together for the player who wore the number 13 jersey, with 13 seconds of applause in the 13th minute planned.

Former Mayo footballer David Brady called on fans to join in in the applause, while social media outlets representing both Dublin and Mayo have also encouraged their supporters to participate in the tribute.
