GALWAY AND WEXFORD have named their teams for tomorrow’s Bord Gáis Energy All-Ireland U21 hurling semi-final.
Galway will start with four players who started for the senior side when they exited the championship at the hands of Tipperary back in July – wing-forwards Padraic Brehony and Cathal Mannion, full-forward Jonathan Glynn and corner-forward Jason Flynn.
Galway have named a strong team overall with ten members of the side having started in the 2011 All-Ireland minor final win over Dublin – Shane Mannion, John Hanbury, Paul Killeen, Dean Higgins, Adrian Tuohy, Cormac Diviney, Brehony, Shane Maloney, Glynn and Flynn.
Midfielder Eanna Burke, a brother of senior player David, won an AIB All-Ireland senior hurling club medal last year with St Thomas.
Meanwhile, Wexford have named three players who began the county’s All-Ireland senior hurling quarter-final defeat to Limerick last month.
Full-back Liam Ryan, wing-forward Jack Guiney and corner-forward Conor McDonald all featured in a break-out campaign for Wexford at senior level and will start tomorrow.
