Hang 11: Kelly Slater takes another world surfing title

WHILE MOST WERE watching Man City dominate in the Champions League, a true dominator of his sport was being crowned World Champion of Surfing for an unprecedented 11th time last night.

Legendary surfer Kelly Slater from Cocoa Beach, Florida only needed to win his third round heat against Australian Daniel Ross at the Rip Curl Pro Search San Francisco to be crowned champion.

And while Slater didn’t have it all his own way he eventually aced his last wave to bring home the gold.
