Zenit 2 Sevilla 2 (3-4)
AN EARLY CARLOS Bacca penalty looked like it would give Sevilla safe passage in this Europa League quarter-final second leg, a vital away goal to add to their aggregate 1 – 2 lead going in to the tie.
However, in the second half goalkeeper Belo almost single handedly offered Zenit a lifeline in the tie.
On 48 minutes he helpfully batted this cross down in to the path of Rondon, who equalised and made the aggregate score 2 -3.

With 18 minutes remaining Hulk levelled the tie on aggregate with a shot from way downtown that sneaked over the line after hitting the underside of the bar – Belo didn’t cover himself in glory here either though.

Fiorentina 1 Dynamo Kiev 0 (2 -1)
Mario Gomez ‘ first half strike was enough to send La Viola through to the final four as they overcame Dynamo Kiev with a 2-1 aggregate win.
Gomez powered in the game’s only goal into the bottom left corner just minutes before the break. Though the lead was narrow, it was a hammer blow for Kiev who were still reeling form the dismissal of Jeremain Lens for a second bookable offence.
With a goal and a man advantage, the Serie A side were able to hold off their opponents and see out the 90 minutes.
