Cork stick to their guns as Kerry make two changes for Munster semi-final

Páirc Uí Rinn hosts tomorrow night’s tie.

CORK HAVE NAMED an unchanged starting side to face Kerry in tomorrow night’s Electric Ireland Munster minor football semi-final.

The Rebels sent a statement of intent as they ran riot against Tipperary in the quarter-final and their full-forward line combined for 3-13.

The trio — Mark Cronin, Damien Gore and Cathail O’Mahony — all start alongside each other again, but Gore wears the number 14 jersey rather than O’Mahony on this occasion.

There has been a further positional change in the half-forward line, captain Colm O’Callaghan now starts in the centre.

Meanwhile, Kerry have made two changes in their defence the Páirc Uí Rinn clash.

Cian Gammell and Niall Donohue, both members of last year’s panel, come into the rearguard in place of Sean O’Leary and Patrick Warren both of whom picked up injuries in the quarter-final tie against Clare and are now included among the substitutes.

Both Gammell and Donohue were part of this year’s victorious St Brendan’s Hogan Cup team along with Chris O’Donoghue, Michael Potts and Donnchadh O’Sullivan.

Potts is one of four Kerry players who featured in last September’s All-Ireland minor final victory over Galway, joined on this occasion by captain David Clifford, midfielder Diarmuid O’Connor and corner-forward Brian Friel.
