THE FOOTBALLERS OF Leitrim and Kildare got a pre Allianz league boost today as they claimed some early season provincial silverware.
For the second year running Leitrim won the FBD League and they did it on this occasion in front of their home fans in Carrick-on-Shannon with a 2-5 to 1-7 win against Roscommon.

Meanwhile in Newbridge, Kildare were once more crowned O’Byrne Cup champions. On this occasion they claimed a final win over Meath at St Conleth’s Park with Eoghan O’Flaherty getting his hands on silverware.
