Lincoln City's game was cancelled today due to an exploding sauna

LINCOLN CITY WERE due to travel to Eastleigh for a game in the Conference league today but the fixture was cancelled after a fire at the Lincoln team hotel meant they couldn’t get their gear in time.

It is thought that the fire was caused by an explosion in the hotel sauna and after initially delaying the game, it eventually had to be cancelled. It has been reported that nobody was injured in the fire.

Players have gone on coach to get some pre-match food. Still nobody allowed back into hotel. Fire seems to be contained though

Can only apologise to fans who have travelled but all in hands of fire brigade. All players boots, etc in rooms which we can't enter

Everything eventually retrieved from hotel. Some things damaged due to fire & smoke but main thing is that nobody was hurt.
