The match gets underway after Cork make a late change - Fiachra Lynch has replaced Nicholas Murphy.

Aidan O’Shea has missed an early goal chance for the Connacht champions and they’re made to pay for it when Donncha O’Connor scores a penalty for Cork. It’s 1-00 to 0-01, Cillian O’Connor bagging a free for the Westerners.

Cork have built on their advantage with four quickfire points. O’Connor has followed up his goal with two points, while Kerrigan has also done his stuff. It’s 1-04 to 0-01.

Mayo are settling into the match and O’Connor’s free from 30 yards gives his second score of the game. It’s 1-04 to 0-02.

Kevin McLoughlin scores for Mayo! He advances with power and pace and runs straight through the defence. He shrugged off the challenge of Fiachra Lynch before slotting the ball into the corner of the net. Only a point in it now – Cork 1-04 Mayo 1-03.

Paul Kerrigan scores for Cork! It’s 2-04 to 1-04 as the late replacement for Nicholas Murphy restores the Rebels’ four point lead just before Mayo grab another point.

Kerrigan is on song and he fists the ball over the bar to make it 2-05 to 1-05 for Cork. There’s at least one minute of added time to be played.

Half-time: Cillian O’Connor takes a free on the brink of half-time and puts it over the bar. 2-05 to 1-06 in a cracking game, Cork have the advantage.

A point for Mayo’s Enda Varley at the start of the second half. We have a game here. 2-05 to 1-07.

Robert Hennelly draws Mayo level! Cork 2-05 Mayo 1-08. Following Kerry’s easy victory over Limerick earlier on, this makes a refreshing change.

Alan Dillon gets the best score of the match so far as he gives Mayo the lead for the first time in the match. Cork are in disarray.

Cork have equalised and it’s John Miskella. Mayo 1-09 Cork 2-06. Eighteen minutes have gone in the second half and the Rebels are on the attack with Eoin Cadogan and captain Graham Canty.

A wonderful counter-attack from Mayo, however, and their slender lead is restored through Keith Higgins. RTE: “Mayo will have to stay composed if there’s a shock on here.”

Jason Doherty makes 1-11 to 2-06 for Mayo. What a turnaround! Cork have 12 minutes to hold on to Sam.

Cillian O’Connor does it again and it’s 1-12 to 2-06 for Mayo. Can Nicholas Murphy save Cork? The number 14 has just come on.

Mayo have the chance to slow things down after going four points clear through another O’Connor free.

Mayo are on the brink of a famous victory. There are four points in the difference and John Miskella has just been sent off for an off-the-ball incident with Richard Feeney. Time is running out. Feeney has been subbed.

IT’S ALL OVER! Mayo have beaten the All-Ireland champions Cork, who led 2-05 to 1-06 at half-time. The Connacht champions were quite brilliant in the second half, however, and the final score of 1-13 to 2-06 was more than deserved. Mayo join Kerry in the All-Ireland semi-finals while the season ends for the Rebel County.
