Welcome to Croke Park for the first of this afternoon’s All-Ireland final liveblogs. Before the eagerly-awaited senior decider at 3.30pm, we have minor action at 1.15pm with Dublin and Meath facing off.

The Dublin team for this afternoon’s minor decider is as follows.

And here’s the Meath team for the game.

MEATH: Robert Burlingham; Ruairí O Coileáin, Brian Power, Shane Gallagher; Declan Smyth, Pádraic Harnan (c), Seamus Lavin; Shane McEntee, Adam Flanagan; Cillian O’Sullivan, Jason Daly, James McEntee; Barry Dardis, Fiachra Ward, Stephan Coogan.

These sides met earlier in the summer with Dublin winning the Leinster final convincingly. Meath have bounced back well since but have they closed the gap to deny Dessie Farrell for the second successive year an All-Ireland minor triumph? We’re about to get underway.

Meath 0-1 Dublin 0-0: 1 mins – The Royals get off the mark with Fiachra Ward slotting over a free from the left wing. Moments previously he had a great chance to grab a goal but Lorcan Molloy in the Dublin goal proved equal to his close-range shot.

Dublin 0-1 Meath 0-1: 4 mins – Dublin draw level with Niall Walsh curling over a fine point after good work by Eric Lowndes to create the opening.

Dublin 0-2 Meath 0-1: 5 mins – And now Dublin edge ahead with their attacking talisman Cormac Costello tapping over a free after Niall Scully was fouled.

Dublin 0-3 Meath 0-1: 8 mins – That is a beautiful point by Dublin half-back Eric Lowndes. He has impressed with his attacking forays to date in this game and on this latest occasion he knocked over a great score with his left foot.

Dublin 0-3 Meath 0-2: 11 mins – Fine point by Meath half-forward Cillian O’Sullivan as he weaved through and finished off his left.

Dublin 0-3 Meath 0-2: 14 mins – Meath hit back with a neat score from wing-forward Cillian O’Sullivan. They are keeping matters very tight at the back at the moment, cutting out the long deliveries Dublin are looking to supply their forwards with. Shane McEntee has been excellent in sweeping up possession.

Dublin 0-4 Meath 0-2: 16 mins – But Meath need to keep on their guard with Cormac Costello remaining a threat for Dublin. He is dragged to the ground and when a free is subsequently awarded, the Whitehall Colmcille’s player notches a point.

Dublin 0-5 Meath 0-2: 17 mins – Dublin edge three points in front courtesy of a fisted point by Shane Carthy. Yet the midfielder could have gained a greater reward when his fierce goal bound drive was bravely blocked by Shane McEntee and he collected the rebound to fist the ball over the bar.

Meath’s tactic of retreating players behind the ball is preventing Dublin from making serious headway with Robert Gaughan’s shot from distance just after tailing wide. The Royals seem intent on learning from the lessons of the Leinster final and not allowing Dublin to cut them apart. The question is can they maintain that mammoth effort and at some stage they will need to start attacking themselves.

Stephen Coogan attempts a shot from distance but the ball flies wide after Meath full-back Brian Power had started the move with a great interception. Patrick Kennelly is onto the Meath team for Barry Dardis in the first substitution of the game.

Dublin’s forwards have been in brilliant form in the run-up to this match but are finding scores more difficult to come by here. Niall Walsh has just hit their latest effort wide.

And there’s another wide for the Leinster champions with Robert Gaughan fisting his effort wide.

Dublin 0-6 Meath 0-2: 29 mins – Cormac Costello booms over a good point from 40 yards after patient build-up play by Dublin. That was a score they needed to settle themselves approaching the interval.

Dublin 0-7 Meath 0-2: 31 mins – Costello quickly follows that up by pointing a free after Conor McHugh had been fouled.

Half-Time: Dublin 0-7 Meath 0-2: And that’s the way it stands at the break with Dublin in command as they hold a five-point advantage. We’ll be back shortly with the second-half action.

And the second-half has just begun here.

Couple of early scoring chances for Dublin but Niall Walsh and Conor McHugh are off target. Meath are going to need to adopt a greater attacking edge to their game in the second-half here.

Dublin 0-8 Meath 0-2: 35 mins – Dublin finally break the second-half deadlock with centre-forward Niall Scully firing over a classy point.

Meath substitution with Harry Rooney on for Stephen Coogan. Dublin are being wasteful here with four wides amassed early in the second-half. They are dominating possession though and it’s difficult to see Meath forging a route back into contention.

Dublin 0-8 Meath 0-3: 38 mins – Meath cut the deficit courtesy of a Fiachra Ward pointed free after Cillian O’Sullivan, their best attacker so far, was fouled. Shane Cunningham is on for Dublin in their attack instead of Robert Gaughan.

Dublin 0-8 Meath 0-4: 40 mins – Much improved play from Meath with substitute Patrick Kennelly lobbing over a stylish point with his left foot.

Penalty for Meath! Huge drama here as Patrick Kennelly is fouled.

Dublin 0-8 Meath 1-4: 43 mins – Fiachra Ward blasts the ball to the net from the penalty spot.

What a turnaround here. Meath looked devoid of inspiration after half-time but they have fired 1-2 to haul themselves back into contention with that Ward goal a huge boost. Donal Gormley is on the Dublin team, replacing Gavin Burke.

Dublin 0-9 Meath 1-4: 46 mins – A vital point for Dublin as Shane Carthy swings over a free.

Dublin 0-10 Meath 1-4: 47 mins – There’s another point for Dublin with Niall Walsh creating the space to curl over a shot that puts three between the teams.

Another Meath change sees Conor Carton introduced to their defence for Declan Smyth.

Dublin 0-11 Meath 1-4: 50 mins – That’s a wonderful point by Dublin centre-forward Niall Scully as he shows the leadership to launch over from 40 yards. Dublin are starting to impose their authority now and have recovered splendidly from the concession of that goal to Meath, shooting three unanswered points.

Dublin 0-12 Meath 1-4: 54 mins – Shane Carthy swings over a free for Dublin to push them five points ahead.

Dublin 0-13 Meath 1-4: 55 mins – Substitute David Campbell, moments after being introduced, swings over a neat point to put Dublin six points clear.

Meath nearly break through for a second goal through full-back Brian Power but the ball is cleared off the line by Stephen Cunningham after it crept past goalkeeper Lorcan Molloy. With just a minute remaining, Dublin are looking comfortable here to claim the All-Ireland minor crown.

Dublin 0-14 Meath 1-4: 60 mins – Dublin move further ahead with Costello clipping over a free from close-range.

Dublin 0-14 Meath 1-5: 62 mins – A consolation point for Meath from James McEntee. Dublin bring on Michael Deegan for Niall Scully while Conor O’Brien replaces Jason Daly on the Meath team.
