Despite Mignolet's best efforts, Liverpool beat Leicester with help from Steven Gerrard

Liverpool went 2-1 up after the captain’s strike.

AFTER A HORROR start away to Leicester, Liverpool won 3-1 after second half goals from Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson.

Simon Mignolet’s run of questionable form continued in the first 45 as he gifted Esteban Cambiasso a glorious chance before unluckily allowing an own goal. Adam Lallana then levelled for the visitors.
