THERE IS NO doubt that Oyonnax’s Maurie Fa’asavalu hit Moran Parra a belt during Clermont’s 19-8 win on Saturday, but the very….very…..slow way with which the scrum-half toppled over was comically ridiculous. Parra was obviously caught between initally wanting to appear tough but also hoping to milk a penalty and a card out of the ref.
The manner with which Parra lost the use of his legs is a bit reminiscent of referee Paul Alcock after Paolo Di Canio pushed him.
