CHELSEA’S BID TO match the Arsenal Invincibles is over.
Newcastle United beat the Premier League leaders 2-1 thanks to a double from striker Papiss Cisse.
It was Chelsea’s first loss following a 14-game unbeaten start in the league and their first in all competitions since April, a run which equalled the club record of 23 games without defeat.

Cisse pounced on Gary Cahill’s error to open the scoring in the 59th minute.

The Senegalese international doubled Newcastle’s lead with 10 minutes remaining.
Didier Drogba then gave Chelsea a lifeline four minutes later, but after six added minutes, Newcastle hung on to win.
