STOKE ARE CURRENTLY in Dubai on a warm weather winter training excursion and, with a bit of down time on his hands, 6’7″ Peter Crouch decided to pop along to Dubai Racing Club.
Now, we’ve no doubt the former Liverpool striker is used to towering over people, but even he seems a bit tickled by the height difference between himself and jockey Nathan Alison who stands just 5ft tall.
And, it turns out, the pair might have been team-mates as Alison says he could have been a baller had he been a little bit taller.
‘I wanted to be a footballer, but with my size and height that wasn’t going to work out,’ he told GG.com in 2009.
