AFTER 368 DAYS and 16 straight losses, the Oakland Raiders finally won an NFL game.
With 1:42 remaining in the fourth quarter, rookie quarterback Derek Carr completed a 17-play, 80-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown pass to secure victory over their divisional rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Thursday Night Football.
After struggling with the run game all season, Oakland looks to have found a star in Latavius Murray who ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries before leaving the game with a concussion.
The highlight of Murray’s brief cameo was this 90-yard touchdown run.
However, the Chiefs still had a good chance to win the game in the final minute as the Oakland defence, apparently unused to these winning situations, attempted to implode and give the game to Kansas City.
First, they gave away three penalties on a single play.

Then, just as it looked as if the Raiders had secured the win with a third down sack of Alex Smith, they had to use a timeout because their players couldn’t stop celebrating even though the game was continuing behind them.
