And those characteristics were certainly apparent last night, as the veteran manager asked BT Sport pundit Phil Neville to “make us a coffee” — undoubtedly in reference to a recent revelation that Neville made his first cup of instant coffee at 37.
Big Sam was, of course, in fine form, after seeing his side knock Everton out of the FA Cup on penalties.
