THE ROCK IS on a roll lately (pardon the pun), what with his super sweet Mother’s Day message, and now, this.
The actor had himself ordained so he could officiate at a fan’s surprise wedding. We know. We KNOW.
Comedian Nick Mundy first met The Rock during a 2013 press junket, and they’ve gotten along famously ever since. When Mundy proposed to his girlfriend Dilara Karabas, he asked the actor to be his best man, but Johnson politely declined.
Little did he know that Karabas had contacted The Rock to organise a surprise wedding ceremony — with the actor ordained and ready to act as officiant.
Mundy told the Hollywood Reporter:
[I thought] “I have hat hair, I’m sweating and wearing American flag pants.” And the next thing I know, The Rock was walking me down the aisle and the music was starting and I signed the marriage license. The whole thing was insane.
