THE SURPRISING LOSS tonight of holders and favourites Barcelona has blown the Champions League wide open this season.

Following Wednesday night’s action, the four semi-finalists were confirmed — Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Man City.

The final four could also throw up an intriguing sub plot, with Man City-bound manager Pep Guardiola potentially coming up against his future club after guiding Bayern to the semis.
