SOME IRISH BOXING fans are set to be left in the dark when Andy Lee defends his world title this weekend.

Lee’s first middleweight defence against Peter ‘Kid Chocolate’ Quillin is live and exclusive on BoxNation — but the pay-per-view channel is not currently available to UPC customers.

A spokesperson confirmed to The42 that “UPC does not carry this channel right now.”

Lee won the WBO belt with a sixth-round KO of Matt Korobov last December, and BoxNation snapped up the rights for Saturday night’s showdown with the undefeated Quillin in Brooklyn, New York.

The fight is slated to start after 1.30am Sunday morning Irish time.

Sky customers in Ireland can subscribe to BoxNation at a cost of €15 per month. For everyone else, the channel is also available through the BoxNation app and LiveSport.tv.
