BOXING FANS IN Ireland will be able to buy tickets for Andy Lee’s world middleweight title fight in Thomond Park from Tuesday afternoon.
WBO champion Lee will make his first official title defence against Billy Joe Saunders at the famous Limerick venue in September with ticket prices and media coverage confirmed at a press conference tomorrow.
However, the Limerick Leader is reporting that prices will start at €30 for the bout, Lee’s sixth on Shannonside.
While the previous five took place in the 3,000 seater University of Limerick Sports Arena, Lee is expected to go toe-to-toe with Saunders in front of 34,000 people at the home of Munster rugby.
