'Show your kids that football isn't a TV show and get down to Dalymount'

Bohemians have produced a series of posters to entice fans to their games.

BOHEMIAN FC, celebrating their 125-year anniversary, have followed up their recent appointment of a Poet in Residence with another cool announcement.

Through a series of posters, the North Dublin club is launching a new advertising campaign in a bid to promote the league and get more supporters coming through the gates at Dalymount Park on Friday nights.

“We wanted to convey the uniqueness of Bohemian FC over the ever increasing corporate nature of football elsewhere – we are members owned, democratic, part of our community and accessible,” said Bohs director Daniel Lambert.

We are a club run by volunteers – our whole board of directors are there on a voluntary basis. We are a true club of people for the people and are Dublin’s original football club founded in 1890.

“Get down to the historic Dalymount Park this season and show your kids that football isn’t a TV show.”

After their 3-0 win away to Limerick on Saturday, Keith Long’s men are in action in the EA Sports Cup tonight — at home to Athlone Town.
