Berbatov joins a couple of old friends from Man United at Indian Super League club
FORMER MANCHESTER UNITED and Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has joined Kerala Blasters of the Indian Super League.
The ex-Bulgarian international will link up with his former United team-mate Wes Brown at the team in southern India.
Another Old Trafford veteran, former assistant coach Rene Meulensteen, is Kerala’s new boss, while Berbatov’s old Spurs strike partner Robbie Keane recently joined Atletico de Kolkata.
The 36-year-old, who also starred for Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and Fulham, had been without a club since leaving PAOK Thessaloniki a year ago.
The ISL, which will be in its fourth season, will grow to 10 teams this year.
