Do you agree with Stuart Pearce's combined City and United XI?

The former Man City player and manager made some controversial omissions.

STUART PEARCE HAS caused no shortage of uproar in the Twittersphere with his controversial choices for a United-City combined XI ahead of this weekend’s Manchester Derby.

Appearing on Sky Sports News, the former Man City player and manager chose to omit the likes of David De Gea, Sergio Aguero and David Silva from his side, while Yaya Toure is deployed in the type of defensive midfield role he invariably occupied during his Barca days.

Meanwhile, fellow Sky pundit Tony Gale’s side is similarly controversial, with Bacary Sagna picked ahead of Pablo Zabaleta and Marouane Fellaini included at the expense of Toure, while United’s record signing Angel di Maria is also ignored.

And for the record, here’s The42’s own combined XI: De Gea; Zabaleta, Kompany, Jones, Blind; Carrick, Herrera, Silva, Mata; Rooney, Aguero (4-4-2).
