AS IT HAPPENED

As it happened: Dublin v Kerry, National Football League Division 1 final

Afternoon everyone. Kerry and Dublin are out on the field warming up for today’s main event.

These age-old rivals come face-to-face again. There is no debating Dublin’s dominance over Kerry in recent times and the latter will be hoping to make up for failing to perform in last year’s All-Ireland final.

Half-time: Dublin 0-10 Kerry 0-8

Diarmuid Connolly and Peter Crowley INPHO / Lorraine O'Sullivan INPHO / Lorraine O'Sullivan / Lorraine O'Sullivan

Very evenly matched first-half. We’ve seen some excellent scores but the game is lacking a little bit of intensity.

Good defending by Kerry but Dublin eventually win a free after showing great patience to hold onto possession.

Aidan O’Mahony will miss the Munster semi-final due to that red card.

Dublin 0-13 Kerry 0-11

47 mins – Ciaran Kilkenny has been excellent so far. His run draws a foul from Killian Young, and Dean Rock slots over the resultant free.

Still only two points in it but given their age profile, that red card will really hurt Kerry.

Kevin McManamon is on for Connolly.

54 mins – Paul Murphy drives forward and leaves a point between the teams. There’s still life in this Kerry team.

Dublin 0-15 Kerry 0-12
