The two athletes have been engaged in a long-running feud, with both at various points teasing the possibility of a fight being arranged in future.

“Just make sure that money is there. As long as that money is there, then we can fight under your safety net of rules. But me, I don’t need rules. I am the fucking rules.”
Meanwhile, Mayweather also stated previously when speaking FightHype.com that there was unlikely to be a bout arranged anytime soon.
