EUROPEAN RUGBY’S PREMIER club competition kicks off next month, and this season signals the welcome return of its original title sponsor.

Over the summer, the EPCR announced that a four-year deal had been reached with Heineken®, which sees the tournament renamed as the Heineken® Champions Cup.

As always, The42 will be providing unrivalled coverage as current champions Leinster look to defend the title they claimed by defeating Racing 92 in San Mamés last May.

We’re also excited to announce the launch of a brand new podcast this year. Heineken® Rugby Weekly aims to go behind the headlines to deliver the best insights, expert commentary and play-by-play breakdowns – enhancing rugby fans’ love of the game and providing the perfect conversation starters for the post-match pint.

Hosted by our own Gavan Casey and Murray Kinsella, they will be joined by regular guests throughout the season to preview every big match – from the four provinces in European action to Ireland’s November clash with the All Blacks – and keep you entertained along the way.

The first of our weekly episodes is out now. You can have a listen below. (Or click here to learn more.)

To celebrate the announcement, Heineken® are giving readers of The42 the chance to win two tickets to the home Heineken® Champions Cup match of their choice.

All you have to do is answer this simple question:

Where will this season’s Heineken® Champions Cup final be held?

Just email competitions@the42.ie to be in with a chance of winning. The winner will be selected randomly, click here for terms & conditions. Closing date is midnight on Sunday, October 7.
