Magnificent 7 for John Joe Nevin as he remains undefeated as a pro

JUST OVER A week after he made it six wins on the spin, John Joe Nevin took his record to a magnificent 7-0 as he remains undefeated in his professional career.

The Mullingar lightweight found last night’s bout with Greg Coverson Jr in the Horseshoe Casino, Indiana a little tougher than some of his previous fights but won on a judges’ decision after six rounds.

For Coverson, it brings his career record to 3-15-3 and, indeed, the 36-year old American is without a win since September 2010.

By contras,t 2012 Olympic silver medallist Nevin has now won four fights in the past three months.
