John Lineker comes out on the right side of epic with John Dodson

Did he earn a title shot with his night’s work in Portland?

JOHN LINEKER TOOK a big step towards a UFC title shot a split-decision win over John Dodson last night.

Bantamweight Lineker won the five-round headliner  48-47 in Portland.

“I trained very hard for this fight, I came here for five rounds, I got one round after the other, that’s the way I like to fight,” Lineker said.

“I’m a fighter, I’ll fight anybody they put in front of me, but I think I deserve Dominick Cruz. It’s my turn now.”

In the co-main event, Alex Oliveira stopped Will Brooks by TKO in the second round.

Oliveira missed the weight and the pair faced off at a catchweight.
