The big guns are back as Kilkenny bring in five players for Sunday's game against Galway

Throw-in in Nowlan Park on Sunday is 2pm.

KILKENNY WELCOME BACK household names to their starting side for Sunday’s Allianz hurling league tie against Galway.

Jackie Tyrrell will make his first start since the 2015 Leinster senior final while the half-back line sees Kieran Joyce and Cillian Buckley both return to the starting side.

Richie Hogan, who was a late withdrawal before the last game against Tipperary, is named at corner-forward while there’s a new face in goal as Richie Reid replaces the injured Eoin Murphy.

Paul Murphy, Robert Lennon, Diarmuid Cody and John Power are the other players to make way as they drop to the bench.
