THE GOLDEN STATE Warriors have made history, claiming a record-breaking 73rd NBA regular-season win by defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 125-104.
The Chicago Bulls had held the record for most wins with 72, which they set back in 1995-96.
But the Warriors, who matched the feat on Sunday, etched their name in the history books as Stephen Curry starred at Oracle Arena on Wednesday.
Reigning MVP Curry became the first player in NBA history to post 400 three-pointers in a season on his way to a game-high 46 points.
Curry finished with 10 three-pointers as he closed out the regular-season with 402.
The Grizzlies, who slumped to a fourth consecutive defeat but still finished seventh in the Western Conference, were led by Zach Randolph’s 24 points.
Awaiting the Warriors in the first-round of the play-offs are the Houston Rockets, who secured their spot thanks to a 116-81 victory at home to the Sacramento Kings.
James Harden posted 38 points as the Rockets snuck into the post-season via the Western Conference on the back of three successive wins.
Kobe Bryant’s illustrious 20-season NBA career came to an end in fitting style after the five-time NBA champion and 2008 MVP had 60 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past the Utah Jazz 101-96.
Bryant, 37, was given the licence from the field as he went 22-for-50 as part of his haul at the Staples Center.
His 50 shots marked the most in an NBA game since Michael Jordan had 49 in 1993.
Elsewhere on Wednesday, the San Antonio Spurs overcame the Dallas Mavericks 96-91, the Toronto Raptors downed the Brooklyn Nets 103-96, the Atlanta Hawks fell 109-98 to the Washington Wizards, the Detroit Pistons defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-110, the Indiana Pacers topped the Milwaukee Bucks 97-92 and the Boston Celtics prevailed 98-88 against the Miami Heat.
The Portland Trail Blazers were 107-99 winners over the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves accounted for the New Orleans Pelicans 144-109, the Phoenix Suns beat the Los Angeles Clippers 114-105, the Chicago Bulls saw off the Philadelphia 76ers 115-105 and the Orlando Magic lost 117-103 to the Charlotte Hornets.
