BOTH SIDES IN Rory McIlroy’s High Court case against his former management company will continue in their discussions into tomorrow.
Three times today, the golfer, Horizon Sports Management and a slew or Irish and international media sat in court to hear the judge grant requests from McIlroy’s legal team for more time.
After breaking for three hours so lawyers could attempt to ‘narrow issues’ in the case, the hearing resumed at 2pm with Paul Gallagher SC for McIlroy requesting more time.
The former Attorney General said that both sides are “making progress” and Judge Brian Cregan agreed to further defer the hearing until 4pm.
At 4pm, the same pattern was repeated with the Judge deferring the case until tomorrow at 11am.
The world number one appeared at ease at the beginning of the day, laughing with his legal and management teams.
He sat alongside his current advisor and former Horizon executive Sean O’Flaherty each of the three times he was is in court.
The group from Horizon including managing director Conor Ridge sat a number of rows behind the world’s number one golfer.

Today was scheduled to be the first day of the case in which McIlroy is seeking to have his contract with Horizon voided because he claims they misrepresented it to him.
Horizon have also launched a counter-claim against McIlroy for which they are seeking additional damages for an alleged breach of contract.
Attempts to settle the dispute have so far failed with the case expected to last up to eight weeks.
The parties will reconvene in court one of the Four Courts at 11am tomorrow.
