This Mayo forward has been ruled out of his county's quest for All-Ireland football glory

Mickey Conroy suffered a season-ending shoulder injury at the weekend.

MAYO HAVE SUFFERED a significant injury blow ahead of their All-Ireland senior football semi-final against Dublin on Sunday week, 30 August.

Forward Mickey Conroy has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a shoulder injury on club duty with Davitts at the weekend.

Conroy has failed to break into the starting line-up this summer but could have been a useful option for the Westerners off the bench.

Conroy started against Donegal in the 2012 All-Ireland final defeat and scored a point but will play no part in the remainder of this season.

Joint-bosses Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly are also monitoring the fitness of goalkeeper David Clarke and defender Tom Cunniffe ahead of the crunch clash with the Sky Blues at GAA HQ.
