AFTER AN IMPECABBLY observed minute’s silence, came a poignant and spine-tingling tribute to Anthony Foley at Ravenhill last night.
Fierce rivals on the field, but the four provinces have been united in grief this last week and the true meaning of the rugby family was underlined with this beautiful moment.
A full to capacity Kingspan Stadium joined together in the first minute of Ulster’s Champions Cup defeat of Exeter for a fitting, and emotional, rendition of ‘The Fields of Athenry.’
It was absolutely perfect.
