SO, THE LONG wait for an All-Ireland win will end for either Galway or Waterford this weekend.

But for one county the famine will continue.

Two men who know plenty about both sides and winning All-Irelands joined us on Close Calls with eir Sport this afternoon to preview the action.

Kilkenny icon Jackie Tyrrell and former Tipperary All Star Shane McGrath dialled in to join Gavan Casey and GAA editor Fintan O’Toole. And there seems to be some consensus on where Liam MacCarthy will winter.

Also, you could be there to witness hurling history unfold at Croke Park on Sunday; we’ve got two of the last tickets in town for the All-Ireland hurling final, thanks to Specsavers. Keep your predictions coming and we’ll pick a winner on Saturday.

Update 9.30am: Competition is now closed! Come on down, David Connolly – see comment below.

The42′s Close Calls, supported by eir Sport, is broadcast live on Facebook every Friday afternoon.
